Touch Screen (H) - capacitive LCD 15,6'' 1920x1080px HDMI + USB for Raspberry Pi + case - Waveshare 16645

A 15.6" IPS Wasveshare capacitive touch screen with Full HD 1920 x 1080 px resolution, covered with 6H toughened glass, enclosed in a pull-out stand. It communicates through HDMI and USB ports. It has a built-in ferrite HiFi speaker and navigation buttons on the housing. The display works with Raspberry Pi 4B / 3B+ / 3B / Zero / Zero W and other devices with HDMI port, such as Banana Pi and Beagle Bone Blackand PCs, game consoles, etc.

The device communicates through an HDMI cable (image) and a microUSB socket (touch). Both cables are included.

Example of connecting a screen with Raspberry Pi 4B.

To start the screen, connect the device to the Raspberry Pi via the supplied cables: HDMI and microUSB. The HDMI connector transmits an image, the USB port receives the touch interface data. A suitable HDMI adapter - micro HDMI for Rapsberry Pi 4B - is also included. The device requires an additional 12V / 1A power supply, the appropriate power supply is also included.

The screen works with the latest Raspbian system without the need to install drivers. However, in order for the screen to display correctly you need to change the resolution in the configuration file. To do this, open the config.txt file with a command:

• sudo nano /boot/config.txt

and then add the following instructions at its end:

• max_usb_current=1
• hdmi_group=2
• hdmi_mode=82
• hdmi_cvt 1920 1080 60 6 0 0 0

After saving the file and restarting the raspberry, the image and touch function should work properly.
