XLC With reflective stripes:- The legislative authorities of several countries (including Germany) standardized baffles on the wheels.
Both the well-known spoke baffles and continuous reflective stripes, vulcanized on both tyre flanks, are hereby allowed.
These reflective stripes are made of microscopic glass spheres, which throw the light back to its source, thus making these reflective stripes visible from a distance of 150 m, a much farther reach than that of normal spokes baffles.
The reflection angle is wider as well.
According to the German Road Traffic Act (StVZO), if a bike tyres is equipped with these reflection stripes, it can be dispensed with spokes baffles.
