Описание

Product description: Wireless communication kit XBee 3 - SparkFun KIT-15936

This kit allows to implement wireless communication to our project with Arduino using XBee 3 modules. The modules support 802.15.4, ZigBeeand BLEprotocols. UARTand SPIinterfaces enable communication with other devices. Transmission range is up to 60 m inside and up to 1200 m outside in the line of visibility. Using the set, we can transfer e.g. data from the sensor system to a desktop computer.

Presentation of possibilities of SparkFun XBee 3.

XBee 3 module specification
  • Transmission speed: 250 Kb/s
  • Transmitter power: + 8 dBM at 40 mA
  • The sensitivity of the receiver: - 103 dBM at 15 mA
  • ADC inputs: 4 x 10 bits
  • Digital pins: 15 digital pins I/O
  • Processor: HCS08 50.33 MHz
  • Encryption: 128 / 256 bit AES

  • Range:
    • Inside: up to 60 m
    • Outside in line of sight: up to 1200 m
  • API support
  • FCC / ETSI certified

Two XBee 3 modules are included.

USB converter

USB converter for XBee module. Allows you to connect the module to a desktop computer using the USB port. The XBee module should be connected to the converter anda miniUSB cableshould be connected. In this way, you can communicate and program remotely via the virtual serial port of the computer.

USB converter from SprakFun.

XBee Shield overlay on Arduino

The cover plate has connectors that comply with the standard known from Arduino Uno among others. The connectors should be soldered on their own and then connected to our Arduino.

The cap has a button for rebooting.

XBee Shield specification
  • Power supply: 3.3 V (taken from Arduino 5 V outputs by stabilizer)
  • Built-in voltage regulator: 3,3 V
  • Built-in voltage converter: 3.3 V to 5 V
  • Communication: DIN and DOUT outputs connected to UART (D0 and D1) or D2 and D3 (default)
  • RESET button removed
  • ArduinoUno andLeonardo compatible connector spacing
