The Victron Quatro inverter charger with 24V and 8000 W of power has two AC inputs.
Its many features include a pure sine wave inverter, variable load, possibility of parallel connection to increase power or connection to a three-phase network.
Compatible with lithium-ion batteries and suitable for self-consumption or off-grid solar installations.
Two AC inputs with integrated transfer switch.
The Quattro can be connected to two independent AC power sources, e.g.
to the port socket or to a generator, or to two generators.
It will automatically connect to the active power source.
Features:
Two AC outputs .
The main output has a ´´no-break´´ function.
The Quattro takes over the supply to the connected loads in the event of a blackout or mains/generator disconnection.
This happens so quickly (less than 20 milliseconds) that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without interruption.
The second output is only active when one of the inputs of the Quattro has AC power.
Devices that should not discharge the battery, such as a water heater, for example, can be connected to this output.
Virtually unlimited power thanks to parallel operation.
Up to 6 Quattro units can be operated in parallel.
Six 48/10000/140 units, for example, will give an output power of 54kW / 60 kVA and a load capacity of 840 amps.
Three-phase operating capability.
Three units can be configured for three-phase output.
But that´s not all:
6 groups of three units can be connected in parallel to achieve an inverter output of 162kW / 180kVA and over 2500 A of load capacity.
PowerControl - In cases of limited generator, shore or mains power.
The Quattro is a very powerful battery charger.
Therefore, it will use a lot of current from the generator or shore power (16A per Quattro 5kVA at 230 VAC).
A current limit can be set for each of the AC inputs.
The Quattro will then take the other AC loads into account and use the excess current for battery charging, thus avoiding overloading the generator or the mains.
PowerAssist - Generator or shore power booster.
This function takes the principle of PowerControl to another dimension, allowing Quattro to supplement the capacity of the alternative source.
When a power peak is required for a short period of time, as is often the case, the Quattro will immediately compensate for the possible lack of power from the mains or generator current with power from the battery.
When the load is reduced, the excess power is used to recharge the battery.
Solar power:
AC power available even during a blackout.
The Quattro can be used in PV systems, grid-connected or off-grid, and in other alternative electrical systems.
Power failure detection software is available.
System configuration .
In the case of a stand-alone application, if the configuration needs to be changed, this can be done in a matter of minutes using a DIP switch configuration procedure - Parallel or three-phase applications can be configured with the VE.Bus Quick Configure and VE.Bus System Configurator software.
- Off-grid, grid-interactive and self-consumption applications involving grid-connected inverters and/or MPPT solar chargers can be configured with Wizards (application-specific software).
On-site monitoring and control.
Several options are available:
Battery Monitor, Multi Control Panel, Ve.Net Blue Power panel, Color Control panel, smartphone or tablet (Bluetooth Smart), laptop or computer (USB or RS232).
Remote monitoring and control.
Victron Ethernet Remote, Victron Global Remote and the Color Control Panel.
Data can be stored and displayed free of charge on the VRM (Victron Remote Management) website.
Remote configuration.
Systems settings can be accessed and changed with a Color Control Panel if they are connected to Ethernet.
