TOURATECH KTM 990 Adventure TR 2009 Extreme shock absorber

The Touratech Suspension Extreme shock absorber is the absolute premium class in terms of suspension technology.

This Extreme suspension strut for the KTM 990 Adventure R has been perfectly developed for touring and riding with frequently and strongly changing load and riding conditions or the most extreme requirements.

The Extreme shock absorber features the PDS, a hydraulic puncture protection system using a second damper piston.

Even in the most extreme track conditions with full luggage, there is no bottoming out and mechanical overloading of the shock absorber is prevented.

The damping is travel-dependent.

In most riding conditions, the shock absorber is comfortably and gently adjusted before the PDS intervenes in the last part of the shock absorber stroke.

For you, this means that any luggage volume, from the rear bag to the loaded luggage system and/or pillion rider, is absorbed by the Extreme adjustment range.

The balance of the motorbike can be easily and quickly restored by you using the handwheel via the hydraulic spring preload.

The very finely adjustable damping on the reservoir enables effective, precise suspension adjustment at any time to suit your personal riding style and any road conditions and intended use, regardless of whether it´s motorways/expressways, main roads, the smallest country roads, off-road sections, long-distance journeys with large luggage or a fast, ambitious riding style.
