The DC-DC converter from DFRobot lowers the input voltage in the range from 9 V to 15 V and allows you to obtain a voltage from 0.6 V to 5.1 V. What's more - the module also increases the output current to 18 A , so it can be used to control a 5 m long RGB WS2812 LED strip or any other system requiring low voltage and high current. The module is also equipped with numerous security functions to ensure stable operation.

The manufacturer has included numerous safeguards in the board that allow the module to operate stably even at high temperatures. However, the surface temperature of the tile should be monitored and cooled appropriately if the following values are exceeded:

• Surface temperature > 90°C - improvement of heat dissipation is required because overheating protection may block the system operation at any time.
