Let´s get one thing straight, the Aluminum Stumpjumper EVO is no ordinary trail bike. It´s designed to do the brute, plain and simple. With the same design as its carbon siblings—including head angle adjustment, 150mm of travel, S-Sizing, and integrated SWAT™ Door—constructed from M5 aluminum, you´ll be able to go down where you thought only I could go down with a DH. Equipped with SRAM NX Eagle 12 speed, strong 30mm alloy wheels and Rx Tuned Fox FLOAT Performance shock, no trail can resist it. All the travel in the world is useless without proper shock tuning and kinematics. For the new Stumpjumper EVO design, we prioritized kinematic performance. By applying the lessons learned during the development of the Enduro, and then with over 1,000 hours of development in the suspension lab and field testing, we´ve not only improved the Stumpjumper´s pedaling performance, but made it more capable, agile and vivacious. We increased the anti-squat, so the suspension better resists pedal sway, and further improved performance on jumps and corners. The S-Sizing geometry of the new Stumpjumper EVO is even more cutting-edge. Long, low, launched, fork with little advance, a more vertical seat tube... It´s on everyone´s lips because it offers better behavior. But the perfect geometry is different for different people, so the geometry of the Stumpjumper EVO is fully adjustable with six different options. Not only can you change the bottom bracket height by 10mm, you can change the head angle by two degrees. Finally, if you want maximum fun, the EVO allows you to combine a 27.5-inch rear wheel with a 29-inch front. Rider-First Engineered™ frames use a size-specific approach to ride characteristics that ensures a benchmark ride and flawless performance, regardless of frame size or rider size. So whether you require a tiny size S1 or a huge S6, you´ll experience the same handling, cornering, balance between front and rear, with the lowest possible weight. We introduced the SWAT™ hatch to the Stumpjumper in 2016, adding space INSIDE the frame for those essential necessities like pumps and spare tubes, meaning you don´t need to carry anything else in your jersey pockets.
