Picade X HAT USB-C - games console for Raspberry Pi - Pimoroni PIM462

An overlay forRaspberry Picreated byPimoroni. It allows you to createyour own game consolebased on the popular minicomputer such as Raspberry Pi. It has been equipped with2.54mmconnectors, where you can connectjoystickandbuttons.There is aUSB Type Cconnector on the board used to power the overlay and Raspberry Pi, so there is no need for an additional power supply for the minicomputer. The Picade X HAT also has a built-inI2S DAC / amplifier chip with 3 watts of output power. Any analog speaker can be connected to the terminal connector. The I2S DAC combines both channels of digital audio from the Raspberry Pi into a single mono output. It then goes through a 3W amplifier to power the connected speaker. The overlay allows you to connect a 4-position joystick, 6 player buttons, 4 utility buttons, and Pimoroni's Plasma button. The board also features a button to safely turn off the Raspberry Pi without damaging the microSD card. Press the button to turn on the Raspberry Pi, press and hold for 3 seconds to safely turn off the chip.

The manufacturer has prepared a simple installer that will properly configure the Picade X HAT overlay, control and safe shutdown. In the terminal, type the following command to run the installer:

Once the installation is complete, restart the Raspberry Pi.The software does not work with Raspbian Wheezy.
