TheRAK5860extension is a module designed to work with the WisBlock Base Board RAK5005-O. It provides LTE Cat M1 and LTE Cat NB2wireless communicationfor the assembled system. The IO module supports LTE-FDD network and can operate inHalf-Duplexmode on LTE network. It also provides optionalGNSSfunctionality. It is equipped with a microUSB connector for debugging and sendingAT commandsand data transfer. The extension needs connection toWisBlock Base BoardandWisBlock Coredevelopment modules for proper operation.

WisBlockseries modules produced byRak Wireless. They allow to makeextended IoT projects, which can be used in advanced scenarios and in basic projects. WisBlock system includes: WisBlockBase Board, WisBlockCoredeveloper module, WisBlockSensorsand WisBlockIO expansionmodules. They are used for rapid deployment of engineering prototypes, and are also designed for development of massive applications ready for industrial deployment.
WisBlockIOmodules allow to extend projects and scenarios with additional interfaces, sensors and communication extensions. They also enable connection of modules from outside the WisBlock series. They are assembled according to the scheme shown in the photo opposite. Before commissioning, make sure that the module is properly attached. For proper operation they require connection with WisBlockCoredevelopment module and WisBlockBase Board.
