A set of two magnetic quadrature encoders equipped with a side connector for micro type motors . The encoder should be soldered to the motor connectors and the magnet fitted to the motor shaft. The microcontroller reads the feedback on the speed of the motor thanks to the Hall effect and the magnetic disk. The assembled motor with encoder can be connected to the controller, eg Motor 2040 by means of the JST 6-pin cable.

The encoder module must be soldered to the motor contacts. Make sure the positive contact of the motor is connected to the positive contact of the encoder before brazing, otherwise the motor will rotate in the opposite direction.

Place the magnetic disk on the rear motor shaft, making sure to leave a small gap (less than 1 mm) between the magnetic disk and the sensors. The magnets only work one way - the side with the dots should be facing away from the motor.
