Stones are the best way to grind, sharpen and polish the cutting edge. This method is also used by Japanese knife factories.
The Masahiro LL-1000 Medium sharpening stone is a flat, rectangular stone with dimensions 210x73x60 mm and a gradation (number of grains, abrasive particles per cm2) of 1000, used to restore the sharpness of slightly dull, regularly sharpened knives. A stone with this gradation is the basic tool for sharpening knives. Before use, the stone should be placed in water for a few minutes and should not remain dry during sharpening.
