LiPo SHIM power hat for Raspberry Pi Pico - PiMoroni PIM557

LiPo SHIMpower supply cap dedicated for Raspberry Pi Picoversion. Manufactured byPiMoroni, it allows you to charge your Raspberry Pi Pico with aLi-IonorLi-Polbattery. The board is also equipped with theXB6096I2Schip to protect the connected battery. It contains over-discharge and overload protection. Additionally, the overlay is equipped with afunction button- it blocks the LiPo SHIM overlay from supplying energy when it is not needed, and turns the completed project on and off.

The LiPo SHIM is equipped with a function button that allows you to manually turn on the overlay.

The advantage of the overlay from PiMoroni is its programming versatility. It can be used with any Pico system and does not require any software installation. The manufacturer providessample program codethat can be used to read the voltage of a chip from a Raspberry Pi Pico YSYS. The program also allows you to estimate the battery charge.

• Use the SHIM LiPo cap only with Li-Pol or Li-Ion batteries.
• The power button can also be used as a RESET button. Just press it twice to cut off and restore power. Additionally, by holding down the BOOTSEL button located on the Raspberry Pi Pico, you can enter bootloader mode without having to connect and disconnect cables.
• The LiPo SHIM can be used in conjunction with thePico Display- however, please note that the connectors on the bottom of the display may make it difficult to connect the overlay. It is recommended to uselonger connectors.
