The Hugin Zip Hoodie is constructed from our Norna® fabric, which provides a soft and dry feeling towards the skin due to its high moisture-wicking effect, mixed with merino wool for light warmth and comfort. The chest and side of the hood have been reinforced with our lightweight, WindStretch™ fabric for added protection without sacrificing breathability. With extra reinforcement fabric on the elbows and back for durability, highly placed side pockets to avoid interference with harnesses and backpack carrying systems, seamless shoulders to protect from abrasion, reflective details for added safety, and a hood that fits snuggly under your helmet. Well-suited for high-intensity activities the material also is ventilating, moisture wicking and dries quickly. WindStretch™ has very good wind resistance and we use it in softshell products where flexibility and durability are important. WindStrech™ will retain its visual appearance even after heavy use without losing color or pilling. - WindStretch™ fabrics are bluesign® approved. - WindStretch™ 180 g/m2 is versatile soft-shell with excellent durability and stretch. The fabric is a blend of 70% recycled polyamide, 20% polyester and 10% elastane with a fluorocarbon-free water repellent. - Light WindStretch™ 159 g/m2 is our lightest, fast-drying and most stretchy softshell fabric. Norna® Construction: - Active Humidity Transport Through Fabric - Our Norna® Construction material is based on a simple but effective combination of hydrophobic and hydrophilic components. The hydrophilic base of the yarn is wool, creating warmth and absorbing moisture from the body, whilst the hydrophobic top pulls the moisture away from the body. Combined with a structural knitting that builds air close to the body this means Norna has even quicker drying and higher warmth properties, without the need of any chemical treatments.
