The updated V4 caliper uses hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert that allows for smoother movement and less maintenance, while also being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use. To consider: - The V4 caliper is not compatible with all 180mm Direct Mount forks due to the large piston design and variation in mounting positions.
