Описание

Product description: Gravity - PM1 / PM2.5 / PM10 air quality sensor - DFRobot SEN0460

Sensor module allows you to monitor the purity of the air, measures PM1 / PM2.5 / PM10. Equipped with a sensor to detect particles with a diameter of more than 0.3 μm, such as cigarette smoke. The chip is powered by 5 V and communicates through the I2C interface. The sensor is equipped with Gravity connector.

Product compatible with Arduino

Example code and detailed information can be found in the user guide.

Schematic of how the air quality sensor works.

Principle of operation of the air quality sensor - DFRobot SEN0460

The sensor works by scattering particles with a laser. The laser irradiates the airborne particles for scattering, while collecting the scattered light at a certain angle and obtaining the intensity curve of the scattered light with time. In addition, the microprocessor, based on the MIE theory algorithm, obtains the equivalent particle size and the number of particles with different sizes per unit volume.

MIE solutions - the exact solution of the problem of light scattering on spherical particles in the form of an infinite but convergent series. MIE solutions give information about the amount of radiation absorbed or scattered by a particle. The scattering properties of the particle calculated according to this solution are called MIE scattering.
