Nylon is a carcass braid that is essentially available in three wire sizes.
- 33, 60 and 120 TPI (threads per inch) and wrapped around a wire or aramid tire bead.
The nylon braid is dipped in a bath of butyl rubber and then calendered (pressed) between large steel rollers to create the finished carcass.
In bicycle tires, nylon offers a first-class cost-benefit ratio due to its low price and relatively easy processing.
Tubeless ready:- Perfect for use with tubeless systems:no hoses, strong puncture protection and high efficiency.
Vulcanized synthetic rubber:- In order to combine a long life with good driving characteristics, synthetic rubber is boiled and hardened.
The result is the Vulcanized Clincher from Challenge:- Smooth-running tires with a lot of grip and good comfort for an affordable price.
