The soft backing of the hook and loop straps limits the chance of damage to your frame, always be sure to protect your frame when using your top tube bag intensively. Attach the bag with the Allen bolts if you want to use it longer on a bike. This fixes the bag more firmly, but it takes a bit more effort to take it off your bike again.
