B+W XS-Pro MRC Nano 72 mm Protector Filter

The main feature of this filter is the continuous adjustment of the optical density. The XS-Pro Digital ND Vario is a tool for use in multiple photographic applications that, as its name suggests, serves to variably control the intensity of light reaching the lens. Thanks to its oversized mount, it can be used on wide-angle lenses. It is also equipped with a front thread so that it can be combined with other filters or a lens hood. The use of a gray neutral density (ND) filter is indispensable in many situations: portrait photographers, for example, often need a wide aperture, even in brightly lit conditions, to make the subject stand out against the background; architectural photographers can use them to make passers-by in front of the scene disappear by extending the exposure time up to several minutes; and in landscape photography, they can help make moving water (from rivers or a waterfall) or the surface of the sea appear smoothly textured even in bright sunlight.
