In Munchkin Gloom -a player has a group of five characters and tries to make his group the most unfortunate while rejoiceing the groups of the other players.
The characters are sad or rejoice mainly when they play modifier letters on them.
Each modifier letter affects the character´s self -esteem score on which it is played.
Players also play and discard event cards to obtain immediate effects.
As the game progresses -the stories of the characters are finishing when premature death cards are played on them.
When an entire group has succumbed to premature deaths -the game ends.
At that time the self -esteem punctuations are calculated -and the most unfortunate player wins the game.
