IO Pi Plus MCP23017 - expander for Raspberry Pi - 32 I / O pins

Expander for Raspberry Pi version A+ / B+ / 2 / 3 / 3+ / Zero / Zero W based on MCP23017 chip adding 32 I/O pins to minicomputer. Connects via I2C bus. The module has selectable address, so you can cascade several overlays what allows up to 128 additional GPIO pins.

The IO Pi has a 5V port that is isolated from the Raspberry power supply, so you can use a higher current capacity power supply for the I/O pins. An external power supply is recommended when using more than one overlay pin.

IO Pi Plus is a practical Raspberry Pi Hat pin expander, which allows you to extend your board with additional 32 I/O pins. The overlays can be cascaded together to add a total of up to 128 I/O pins. The extension is compatible with Raspberry Pi boards in Zero, Zero W, A+, B+, 2, 3 and 3+ versions.

Using the IO Pi Plus from AB Electronics, you can easily increase the number of pins on your Raspberry Pi board, allowing you to plug in additional expansion modules, peripherals or other electronic components of your choice. The manufacturer recommends using an external power supply if more than one pin of the cap is used.
